The Short Version -

The Short Version is that we don't want buyers to circumvent us and go directly to you. It defeats the whole purpose of our marketplace. So if there is anything in your profile or listing that can identify you, whether your full name, company name, logo, website, Instagram handle, watermarks or text on images, etc., you need to remove it.

Also, both your profile and the listing should be complete in all aspects before we can approve your listing.

The long Version -

Regarding your profile

If this is the 1st time you are listing, please make sure your profile is complete in every aspect. For your profile, please make sure that your profile is complete in every aspect.

  1. You have uploaded a clear profile picture of yourself.
  2. Your profile picture is an actual picture and not a sketch or an avatar etc.
  3. The description cannot be empty, so please write something about yourself that you would like to share with the clients.
  4. Please fill up the camera and equipment section, so we are aware of the professional gear you use.
  5. Please complete the language section.

Regarding the listing

  • Use only your real name, NOT your company name. We will only display your first name and the first letter of your last name. We don't want clients to circumvent us and go directly to you; otherwise, It defeats the whole purpose of our marketplace, so please help us do that.
  • All photos that you upload should be without a watermark or any text. You want to show how good you are, not who you are.
  • You can only use professional gear and not any smartphones for providing photography services.
  • Only upload professional quality photos taken by you. Don't post or plagiarize others' work. If your photos or videos violates this, it will be removed from Shutterturf, and your account may be suspended.
  • Only upload photos and not illustrations, brochures, pamphlets, etc
  • Every listing should be in the correct category and have relevant photos and descriptions, so buyers don't get confused and clearly understand what is offered. A listing cannot be approved without any photos.
  • Please don't include your name, company name, website, Instagram handles, etc., in the listing description or profile. It will be removed.
  • Please upload your photo in the profile photo section, not your company logo, an avatar, or any other non-related photo.
  • If you are a company with multiple photographers, use the photo of the chief photographer as a profile photo but add a disclaimer in the description that the photographer who comes for the shoot may be different.
  • Lastly, even if you have several years of photography experience, you need to show demonstrated expertise in the photography category you are creating a listing for, which should be evident in the pictures you upload. If the photos are not of professional quality, we cannot approve that listing. Note: per our terms of service, Shutterturf has the final say in this.

Videos in listing

You can only use Youtube links in the listing description for videos, and the system will automatically add your video after the listing. You can add up to 5 youtube links in the description.

Further, please ensure that you don't have any watermarks, branding, etc., within the video for the reasons mentioned above. So if you want to share videos in the listing, please edit parts of the video that have your branding and then upload it as a new video on youtube to share the link in the description.

If you don't have youtube videos, then you cannot add links in the description. In that case, you can mention that you do video, and once the client inquires, you can send the video link.
